| Folk Tales, Fairy Tales and Cattails - Summer 2006 |
|
Our 2006 summer story telling series Folk Tales, Fairy Tales and Cattails brought professional story tellers to the Iris Griffith Centre to share tales related to nature. Visiting storytellers from California presented a multimedia performance of a Cuban/West African folktale about two young herons. Local performer Jean Pierre Makosso employed dance and theater to tell stories from Africa. Professor Ted Chamberlin, author of "If This is Your Land, Where are Your Stories?", shared his story-telling skills.
