| Salmon Workshop - October 29, 2005 |
|
The return of the salmon to the rivers of the Sunshine Coast is one of autumn's most eagerly awaited events. On October 29, 2005, community members gathered at the Iris Griffith Interpretive Centre to learn about the life cycle of these amazing fish and why they are so important to coastal environments. Following the presentation, Dr. John Field led a tour of three local salmon habitats at Anderson Creek and Sakinaw Lake. The salmon workshop is just one of many educational programs offered at the Iris Griffith Centre. For information about upcoming workshops and events, please consult our Events Calendar page.
